Everton are back in action on Saturday as they take on Southampton for the third time this season.

Marco Silva’s side won 2-1 against the Saints back in August as Richarlison scored the deciding goal on his home debut, before losing on penalties in the League Cup at Goodison in October.

Now making the trip to the south coast, the Blues will be looking to consolidate their place in the top half of the Premier League table and could move as high as seventh if other results over the weekend go their way.

Here is everything you need to know about Saturday’s game.

The Saints jumped out of the drop zone last weekend as they collected a somewhat surprising three points out at Leicester.

That was a massive boost for them and how they would love to extend their form further.

They may get a chance to do so as Everton come for a visit as the Toffees have been having their struggles.

Southampton will entertain Everton on Saturday afternoon at St Mary’s stadium looking to extend their three game unbeaten streak, whilst the Toffees are also coming on the back of two wins.

They are currently taking 10th place and will be battling for the 7th place, as they have no chance of a top 6 finish.

Team News

Nope, nothing new to report. The Blues are all fully fit and record for action, touch wood, barring Silva declaring anything at his pre-match press conference.

Boasting a healthy goal return against Everton, the Blues will be hoping that the injury Danny Ings isn’t fit enough to return for Southampton.

Meanwhile, Ryan Bertrand and Mario Lemina are also touch-and-go to return in time for Saturday’s game.

In their away games Everton have put 13 goals on the board but they have conceded 15.

It is worth taking into consideration that of the 13 goals that they have scored away from home this season, five of those came in their recent big victory at Burnley.

The Toffees have suffered three defeats in their last four away games the exception being that win at Turf Moor against Burnley.
