Sunday’s LaLiga clash between Real Valladolid and Real Madrid pits together two teams desperately short of form as we approach the business end of the 2018-19 season.

Los Blancos were stunned 4-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday night by Ajax, knocking them out of the competition they have won in each of the last three seasons.

To make matters worse, the defeat to Ajax was preceded by two consecutive losses against Barcelona which saw them dumped out of the Copa del Rey and fall 12 points behind their rivals in the league.

Real Madrid will once again be without Sergio Ramos – who is said to have had an extraordinary bust-up with club president Florentino Perez after the 4-1 defeat by Ajax – due to suspension.

Marcos Llorente, Vinicius, Lucas Vazquez and Dani Carvajal are all injured, while Gareth Bale is expected to be sidelined with an ankle problem.

Vinicius Junior, Gareth Bale, Lucas Vazquez and Dani Carvajal all picked up knocks against Ajax and all four are set to miss out, 

although Bale has an outside shot of playing. Madrid captain Sergio Ramos is supsended for the game.

For the hosts, Toni Villa and Luismi are doubts.
