One of the standout ties within the third round of this season’s FA Cup will happen at the Emirates Stadium on Monday night as Arsenal welcome Championship leaders Leeds United.

The Gunners will enter the match off the rear of a morale-boosting 2-0 convert Manchester United within the Premier League,

while Leeds drew 1-1 with West Bromwich Albion within the Championship on New Year’s Day Day.

Arsenal and Leeds United round off the primary batch of FA Cup third-round fixtures because the two sides meet on Monday night.

Mikel Arteta are going to be hoping for an additional encouraging win after an outstanding 2-0 victory over Manchester United last week,

though Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds – top of the Championship – are the toughest side the Gunners could have drawn outside of the highest flight.

Leeds under Marcelo Bielsa are in position for a return to the top-flight for the primary time since 2004 – and it is a very different place to once they left it.

The Whites play a terrific, high-octane 3-4-3 under Argentina , which has seen them occupy the automated promotion places for many of the campaign.

How that style works within the top-flight though may be a complete mystery –

so this may be an honest test for both Leeds and their long-suffering fanbase.

But this is often a really tricky tie and therefore the Spaniard would have hoped for something easier on home soil.

It’s got shock written everywhere it – remember Jermaine Beckford netting ahead of the Stretford End back in 2010? Yep, that level of shock.
