The Red Devils are currently just three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea within the table,
while Watford occupy 19th position having did not win in their last four league outings.
The Eagles have managed only one win in 12 within the League and thoughts have turned from an unlikely push for Europe to a scramble for points to keep off relegation.
At Selhurst, Palace are yet to beat a side placed above them within the league this season,
but would leapfrog their visitors with victory were they to buck that trend.
Steve Bruce’s men arrive fresh from a 4-0 thumping at Arsenal and haven’t won on four trips to south east London.
Crystal Palace have tumbled from seventh to 14th since December after a run of 1 win in 13 matches.
Panic isn’t yet required though as injuries have ravaged the squad and draws against Arsenal and Manchester City show Roy Hodgson’s side are mentally present.
Relegation seems an unlikely prospect because it does for Newcastle, who are some extent ahead in 13th.
Goals are likely to be at a premium with Palace and Newcastle rock bottom and second-lowest scoring sides within the league respectively.
One goal might be enough because it was earlier within the season for Steve Bruce.
