Dortmund is in second place and 4 points behind Bayern Munich while sixth-place Schalke is looking to debar Wolfsburg,

Freiburg and Hoffenheim so as to qualify for the Europa League.

This is the return of German football and specifically the Revierderby between Borussia Dortmund and Schalke.

Dortmund lies just 20 miles from Gelsenkirchen,

Wolfsburg vs Borussia Dortmund. Team News

Title-chasing Dortmund will need to cope without Emre Can, Axel Witsel and Nico Schulz, all of whom are out with injuries.

Marco Reus is another absentee on his way back from a muscle injury. Erling Haaland looks likely to start out up front.

Schalke already know Omar Mascarell will miss the remainder of the season with an adductor tear and therefore the prognosis might be an equivalent for Ozan Kabak with a back problem.

Daniel Caligiuri has recovered from a knee problem, while Suat Serdar is back after breaking his toe in training.

Defenders Benjamin Stambouli and Salif Sane are touch-and-go as they near a return from injury.

Dortmund: The black and yellow are the favorites during this match,

and every one eyes are going to be on Erling Haaland as he faces Schalke for the primary time.

He are going to be rising against an inconsistent defense which will sometimes struggle with speed.

Expect Haaland and Jadon Sancho to make enough chances to win this one comfortably, though being rusty may be a concern for everyone involved.

Schalke: This club has found some consistency under David Wagner, and McKennie hopes the team’s specialise in fitness pays off.

McKennie told CBS Sports that his team has really been performing on stamina and fitness and expect it to point out once the ball starts rolling on Saturday.

Against a team with pace, having the energy to stay up late might be the difference with Dortmund’s deadly counter attacks.
